It depends on what species, plus most of us don’t distinguish between wasps, bees, hornets, etc.
I’ve had those things that build paper nests on houses ignore me even as I used an impact driver to lag a J-pipe right next to their nest. On the other hand, I’ve had those things that build nests in the ground chase after me for no reason at all, apparently one spotted me and gave off some sort of attack pheromone that causes a whole swarm to declare war. Similar to those stories about Africanized bees stinging people and their horses to death. (I didn’t die though.) We needed to replace a radio today and there were so many he didn't think he could safely perform the work. He even had to be careful climbing down since they were swarming the entire way. Also, he didn't see any nests so even if we could use wasp spray we wouldn't know where to use it. What is the best way to deal with this?
