We recently ran into this exact situation with AF5X-HD radios. 3ft dishes with H/V on one end and 45 Slant on the other end. I tried to switch the H/V antenna to Slant, it looked at first glance like it had provision to do both but the bolt holes didn't actually line up. However I did monitor signal as I rotated the feed from H/V to Slant, there was no noticable difference in signal or air rates.
