Hi Grace, I haven't heard that having a basic access token would changes the metrics generation.

Hi Grace, Thank you for providing additional details about your concern regarding the differences between the AdWords API and Google Ads API's planning services. Firstly, you may note that the Google Ads API's generate historical metrics feature should mirror more what is currently available in the Google Ads UI's Keyword Planner UI (see mapping section). That said, we recommend that you compare the UI and the Google Ads API instead. If you find that there are significant discrepancies between the two, you may provide to our team the complete screenshot of the Keyword Planner view and also the complete request and response logs, with the request-id of your API request. If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link. You may then provide the requested details in this private thread, instead of posting it back into the forum page.
