Hi, On the AdWords API, these are the available fields for creating Gmail ads and provided in this link the sample SOAP requests for creating the different types of Gmail ads. If your question is related to 'Upload Gmail Ads' option in UI (please see the screenshot below) which has custom HTML feature, then, I am afraid that this is not currently not supported in AdWords API.
Focusing now on the custom image field, could you provide the screenshot of the said field so I can check if this is possible with AdWords API or if it is indeed already supported in the other image fields (ex. headerImage, marketingImage, productImages) of the GmailAd?
