Hi, FWIW, we're seeing the same issue with other Google APIs (such as Sheets), also only in the AWS Ireland (eu-west-1) region. The root cause seems to be closely related—we noticed that *.googleapis.com would only resolve to a single IP address (always 74.125.193.95) from these hosts, whereas normally and in all other AWS regions we tested, these queries resolve to multiple addresses.
AWS support in our case pointed out the DNS discrepancy as most likely reason for the timeouts and reset connections—they didn't find anything on their end that might be the cause. I've created an issue about this <https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/128208664> on Google's issue tracker, but haven't heard back so far.
