We set click tracking template for our clients through API but when google search users clicks on our client's ads they are sent not on advertising site but on our tracking url. We thought parallel tracking should work another way: users clicks on ad and then going to final url. In parallel google sends a separate request to our tracking server. Doesn't it?
*What's going on now. Example:* Client has tracking template in AdWords account settings => https://www.trackingtemplate.foo/?url={lpurl} Client final URL in ad is => https://demo-shop.com When someone clicks on client's ad, he is redirected to => https://www.trackingtemplate.foo/?url={lpurl} https://demo-shop.com is unreachable (we do not use redirect on the server). *What we thought parallel tracking works like:* Client has tracking template in AdWords account settings => https://www.trackingtemplate.foo/?url={lpurl} Client final URL in ad is => https://demo-shop.com When someone clicks on client's ad, he is redirected to => https://demo-shop.com In parallel google sends a separate request to our tracking server => https://www.trackingtemplate.foo/?url={lpurl} We don't use redirect on this request on the server.
