Hi Markus, To answer your question, yes, you are correct. As explained in the guide <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/ad-features#mutating_ads_for_v201806_and_later> I have provided, you could use the AdService.mutate() <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdService#mutate> to update expanded text ads provided that you include the id, headlinePart1, headlinePart2, and the description of the ad. Other attributes of the ad will retain as long as you did not include it in your fields to be updated.
