In certain situations you have no lost impression share. For instance, if a campaign was removed a year ago, and you ask for the lost impression share last month, you will get "--". You should probably handle it like a NULL value in databases, or NONE in some languages. This particular value can happen in more situations, for instance, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens with test accounts as well. And paused campaigns, ended campaigns, etc.etc.
You should check the AdWords web interface. If you see "--" in the web interface too, well, you got the right answer. If you got a different value, well, then your AWQL probably has an error. In that case I suggest to reduce the number of columns in your query. Remember that certain field combinations are not allowed in the API.
