Hi KC, A developerToken is acquired by signing up for a production MCC account as discussed fully in this guide <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/signup>. When using test accounts <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/accounts-overview#test_accounts>, you are not yet required to apply for basic access. However, should you then decide to target production accounts in your API requests, you will need to request first for basic access <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/access-levels#basic_access> before you can make AdWords API calls using production accounts.
