Hi, since v201705 it is not possible anymore to set a bidding strategy on ad group or criterion level, but only on campaign level. In the AdWords UI, however, it is still possible to set individual bidding strategies for ad groups and criteria.
I'm a bit confused now. Are ad group and criterion level bidding strategies eventually going to be dropped in the AdWords UI as well? Adjusting bidding strategies is an important use case of the API for us and right now we do not know how we can make sure that a criterion has the bidding strategy we want it to have. Being able to set bidding strategies only on campaign level if fine for us, as long as we can be sure that all criteria in that campaign use that bidding strategy. Right now it looks like we cannot rely on this. Thanks in advance for shedding some light on this issue!
