Hello, We are looking for a solution to do an Emergency Shutdown of all our Campaigns (for example if our page is down for a longer period of time).
It is easy to pause and enable all campaigns in the AdWords interface, but the problem is that campaigns that are currently already paused should not be activated after we have decided to run the campaigns again. And also we want to do this with "one click". I thought about labeling automatically all currently running campaigns, then pausing everything and afterwards only enable the campaigns with the label. This should run with a script. I have tried AdWords/Google scripts, but we have more than 90 accounts and more than 4500 campaigns. so when accounts run one by one, then setting labels to each enabled campaign one by one , script is taking more than 20 mins. ,sometimes it reach time limit. Its too long. I can't find how i can query all campaigns (only all enabled campaigns) in MCC account. I mean to get all campaigns with one query -- no any loop. And set label for all campaigns at once. Is there any better solution? Maybe someone know very fast AdWords script already available ? Or some best practices ? I am writing to Ad Words API forum, because thinking about to try this script with API. 1) download all the campaigns via report. 2) upload label... and pause with CampaignOperation, Maybe i can use batch job service. But i guess this still will not be very fast solution ?
