Hello Mark,

An easy way to query the Adwords API with AWQL queries is to use the free 
tool : https://www.awql.me

There is plenty of help about the names and descriptions of tables and 
fields, and there is also autocompletion and inline help.

Results are shown in a datatable that you can export in CSV or XML.
