Regarding retrieving template ads as images, you won't be able to do this via reporting, but you can use AdGroupAdService <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201506/AdGroupAdService> and retrieve the TemplateAd.adAsImage <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201506/AdGroupAdService.TemplateAd#adAsImage> field.
