Hello, We have a guide on the TargetingIdeaService, that includes a section with a mapping to the keyword planner <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/targeting-idea-service#mapping_to_the_keyword_planner>. This should hopefully help you going forward.
I also don't see anything listed here about date or platform, however. It doesn't seem we support those parameters.
