Hi Alex, At the AdGroup level you can modify bids in two ways:
1. ADD or SET (updated) an AdGroupBidModifier.bidModifier<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201402/AdGroupBidModifierService.AdGroupBidModifier#bidModifier> through the AdGroupBidModifierService<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201402/AdGroupBidModifierService>. This is only available for Platform criteria. 2. ADD or SET (update) the biddingStrategyConfiguration<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201402/AdGroupCriterionService.BiddableAdGroupCriterion#biddingStrategyConfiguration> 's bids<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201402/AdGroupCriterionService.BiddingStrategyConfiguration#bids> on a BiddableAdGroupCriterion through the AdGroupCriterionService<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201402/AdGroupCriterionService#mutate> . I don't have XML examples handy--could you explain why you are not using one of the client libraries? The libraries save you from the minutiae of SOAP XML messages, which is particularly difficult on complex messages such as these.
