Hi Vasyl, Thanks for getting back to us.
Kindly note that this code example is used to create an Image extension using Feed-based extensions managed by Extension setting services. However, Extension setting services are deprecated and will be removed in an upcoming release. You should migrate to Assets as soon as possible. Please note that the image extension as an asset based extension is not yet supported in the Google Ads API as it is not included in the supported asset-based extension types mentioned in this document. Our note says that Asset-based extensions will soon replace Feed-based extensions managed by Extension setting services. As a side note, Google Ads API v12 supports adding, updating, and removing CampaignAsset and AdGroupAsset with the field_type as AD_IMAGE. However, this is for allowlisted customers only. Let us know if you have any questions.
