Hi everyone, I would like to start an opensolaris user group for Cairo/Egypt. I see Egypt does not have one, and even the rest of the Arabic speaking world does not yet! I have been a Linux user for a decade and have contributed a few things along with technical support. My fedora personal page is: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/AhmedKamal. Recently though I have been drawn to osol due to zfs and dtrace. My current employer (www.aserver.com) also uses a lot of osol to build our virtualization stack.
OSUG Details -Name: Egypt OSUG (egosug) -Initial Members: It will start with me (kim0) and my co-worker Ahmed Abdallah (abd4lla). However, I am positive I can easily get around 10 friends signed once I tell them about the OSUG -The activities will be online discussions, a few meetings per year. Giving out CDs and helping new osol users in the region with technical issues, especially if they need local language support Can someone please let me know what's the next step should my request be approved. Is it possible to ship some CDs perhaps to start giving away. Thank you -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
