TSM4VE 7.1.1, RHEL6, Windows 2012 We're trying to mount volumes on our Linux server using the TSM4VE GUI "mount" command. Works great for Windows (as expected), but for Linux volumes, not so much. These are LVM2, EXT4 filesystems, so there's no compatibility issue I can think of.
The iSCSI target is set up on the Windows box, the initiator is running on the Linux box, but only 2 volumes ever get mounted. In one case, it was the /boot volume and an application volume; in another case, it looks like /boot was mounted twice. In /var/log/messages, I see a lot of: Jan 12 11:34:45 localhost kernel: Buffer I/O error on device sdb1, logical block 131056 Jan 12 11:34:45 localhost kernel: sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE Jan 12 11:34:45 localhost kernel: sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Sense Key : Illegal Request [current] Jan 12 11:34:45 localhost kernel: sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Add. At this customer, the TSM4VE backup server/proxy/whatever is Windows 2012, so that's a difference. Any ideas?
