We are not backing up AD servers at all because there is no sense. It looks it is impossible to restore anything into existing AD (restored server is taken as corrupted). We are just keeping a few AD servers and install new server (propagate from existing AD) in case of AD server crash. Disaster site configuration is much more complicated. After trying a lot of options we have created dedicated AD servers at Disaster Site (part of Head Office AD).
