If you first run a checkin libvol before labeling them, TSM won't probably find any tapes to label. Run the following command to checkout all new tapes: Checkout libvol <libraryname> <volumename> checkl=n remove=n Now run the following command to label them: Label libv <libraryname> search=y labels=b checkin=scratch This will put a label on the tapes and check them in as scratch.
