The error number 41 in the BMR0031E message is likely the TSM API error number, documented in the API manual. If so, that reflects "Either no tape or sequential disk mount points are permitted for this operation, or the maximum number of mount points allowed are already in use."
Is this the first time you've tried this, or has it been working and failed this time? If the first time, assure that the installed API is at a good level for the sys backup being used. There might be a dsierror.log entry relating to the event. You may have to look in the TSM server Activity Log for indications of problems. Also have the TSM server administrator check the definition of the Node under which you are attempting the backup to assure it is not hampered. Richard Sims, at Boston University
