Dear Mehdi, apart from Grigoris arguements, I would add: - no additional repository is needed for backups and images - very easily standartized using TSM (e.g. clopts) - near automatic recovery using predefined Answer-files - no additional load on the system - no additional admin tasks involved after installation - no additional hardware or software needed - TBMR also covers flavours of UNIX
But, much more important in my opinion is the fact that TBMR only uses standards of the operating system and the backup product, while Acronis seems to replace os-comonents such as using its own VSS Provider. Mind you, Acronis does work and loading the Acronis linux image can be a bit faster than the TBMR WinPe2. When you compare recovery speed, compare Image with Image. On the other hand, you are free to define SLAs, e.g. using additional images for critical systems and incremental forever for Systems that give you an hour or two to recover.
