Not backing up system state. And all firewalls turned off.

We're seeing the slowdown in all clients, not just the win2k8 clients.
So I'm more concerned about the server end, which was upgraded from Win2K3
32bit to win2k8 64bit.

Thanks!

Are you backing up System State? They changed how this works (I think in
6.2.?), which puts more processing on the client side and allows server-side
expiration to run more quickly. I can confirm that the server-side expiration
does indeed run much more quickly for System State backups. We've not been
able to quantitatively measure the impact on the client side.
