Technically correct, Just make sure you disable the auto expiration (q opt EXPINTERVAL)
If I were confronted with a temporary need like this (as I have been in the past), I'd rather just change the RETE and RETO until you can resume expiration. I think that is much safer. You won't have to worry about an accidental "expire inv" running.
