Write a cron job to run "query mount" every few minutes tonight and accumulate the output.
Then tomorrow you can check how many tape drives were in use by NDMP if the error reccurs. It has 3 drives attached to it which are also shared with another datamover. All 3 drives in question are online and the paths are online as well. No checkin or label jobs were being done at this point in time either. Any other suggestions? I would've thought that if 2 datamovers request a tape mount and the drive is not yet available that it will wait until a drive becomes available. If anyone has any suggestions just let me know. Thanks!!!!
