Michael: Are you trying to run this DB backup from the command line or thru Admin center? Have you set the DBREcovery to the proper device class for your Db backup?

I have installed TSM v6.2 in our lab for testing. After getting through the service not running issues, I have finally gotten down to getting everything setup in the server. Whats installed: TSM v6.2 on Windows 2008 r2 (64bit) Admin Center v6.2 (not real fond of the new look!) First thing I do is setup the DB backup. Once i got that setup, I try to run the DB backup. But I get an error saying there is no volume history file. Ok.. Let me check my options. Yep, not in the options. Go to update the options, no option file!! Ok.. I see the sample one, so I copy it into DSMSERV.opt, make all the necessary changes, save it, then halt the tsm server and restart. Server comes up fine. Try the DB backup again, same problem. Run a prepare to see what it is picking up, and get the following message: ANR6921W PREPARE: Cannot locate server options file 'C:\PROGRAM FILES\TIVOLI\TSM\SERVER1\DSMSERV.OPT' Made sure it was there, and I could open it. Now I am at a loss!!! Any ideas?
