I see that a tape library like TS3310 with "path failover" feature can be configured to utilize more than on HBA "on hosts side". The problem is that each tape drive in TS3310 has its own SAN port and if this SFP or its cable fails, the connection to this drive is lost no matter how many HBAs are configured in hosts side. Do I need to define virtual tapes to eliminate this SPOF? If yes, is this configuration transparent from TSM server point of view?
