I am testing the backup vm function available in the tsm 6 client. The full backup option uses a staging directory on the server. The backup is placed there and then the regular tsm backup sends it to the storage pools.
Can the backup vm processs send it to the storage pools directly without sending it to the staging folder. The data is sent twice. Wouldnt it be better to send it once.
