Move data(file space)

Hello, I have a storage pool that is getting full, I am thinking on moving the 
node data through ICS to a tape pool, I read some stuff in the Net but not 
quiet understand, is this process going to move the node data(file spaces) to 
tape and free up space on the storage pool that is getting full? after is 
moved, does affect the restores?
