hi, i'm 14 years experienced UNIX admin with 8 years of background with TSM, why the intro ? 'coz i'm now Windows System Admin :-)
the question is (my new project is windows servers backup, by coincidence) if most of "us" are utilizing these 2 methods (as mentioned i backuped HPUX and AIX with no problems at all) ntbackup or TSM with system state (where is system object?) HOW do you/me restore win server ? i mean in case of disaster it would be nice to have all patches, aplications, registry and stuff as it were before "big" upgrade :-) right ? thanks (as is said, unix-tsm = 14 years | windows = 27 days) thanks again // goran 2x TSM 5.4.1 on p640 + 12LTO1 + 6LTO3 + diskpools on XP12000 300 clients On Thu, Nov 27, 2008 at 2:46 PM, Crosskey, Adam - Corporate Core - ICT Services <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Tim, > You might want to take a look at MS KB940184 - it deals with the VSS > errors. > Deleting the registry key mentioned in this KB article and restrting the > client did the trick for us. > Regards, > Adam > > -----Original Message----- > From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > Zoltan Forray/AC/VCU > Sent: 25 November 2008 19:50 > To: ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU > Subject: Re: [ADSM-L] TSM systemstate backups or NTBACKUP > > We use it on hundreds of servers with no problems.
