What would you line to see?
1. Deduplication moved out to the source (clients). Especially to avoid
backing up the System State on Windows in full every time.
2. Enhancements to devclass=file, so that volumes don't have to be
pre-formatted to avoid filesystem fragmentation.
3. Better client software upgrade capabilities. Like, a button shows
up to
the user indicating that a new version is available and do they want to
upgrade to it.
No rename of filesets names for TSM Software on AIX to keep client
upgrade easy. Easy requisite management. A limpid roadmap for the AIX
Client (32bits / 64bits ??). Not a different design for client without
HSM or client with HSM. No tricky to use TSM Client capabilities
(example : to use AIX 64 bits TSM Client without limitation of TSM 32
bits client you have to set some variable before lauching the command dsmc).
Improvment of JBB for AIX or Windows. An homogeneous configuration file
of JBB really integrated with TSM Client (bitmask method to select wich
files parameters to use to track file change !!!). More reliable method
to backed up file servers with more than 10 millions of file by
filesystem and with an important load.
