I guess you meant "The node is already defined and assigned to a domain that backs up to disk and is then migrated to TAPE" To push the data straight through to tape you could disable the primary diskpool with 'upd stgpool <diskpool> access=reado' That will force all backups to this pool to the 'Next Pool', which should be your tapepool. Don't forget to update the storage pool to READW to re-enable full-functionality. Hope that helps.
