That depends on you and your company, and company retention. Standard practice here is to rename the node in TSM if all the data is going to be the same because unless the file spaces autorename you'll have the old file spaces separate from the new anyway. This keeps you from having to keep up with separate nodes. However, if you'd rather create a new node, and lock the old one the result is about the same. The only question is how long to keep the old node / file spaces. That's where retention comes in. You'll need to keep the old file spaces around for at least as long as the numdays setting in the backup archive class.
