The Drive path was initially offline, so I issued the UPD PATH with the same parameters as below, and got 'Unable to find path to match serial number for drive PTL_DRIVE_1 in library <library>', so I ran the same command with AUTODETECT=YES, and got the same result. Then deleted the path, issued the define path and got the following:

(SESSION: 100671) I should add that the library is not aware of any problems - the operator's panel indicates that all the drives are online and available. There was one other user who experienced this in 2001, but never had an answer. http://www.mail-archive.com/adsm-l@vm.marist.edu/msg17115.html Is this just a simple library reboot? Or something more ominous?
