Hi All! Recently I tried to perform a Snapshot Image Backup on a Win2003 Sp2 cluster node, 1.3 TB partition. TSM Backup-Archive Client Version 5, Release 5, Level 0.4 . During the backup, after it is almost completed , cluster commits failover to the other node, the backup fails with error messages: 03/12/2008 04:02:02 ANS1289W Bad areas on '\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy3' between sectors 0:67fecb68 and 0:67fecd67 03/12/2008 04:02:02 ANS1289W Bad areas on '\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy3' between sectors 0:67fecd68 and 0:67fecf67 03/12/2008 04:02:02 ANS1289W Bad areas on '\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy3' between sectors 0:67fecf68 and 0:67fed167 03/12/2008 04:02:02 ANS1289W Bad areas on '\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy3' between sectors 0:67fed168 and 0:67fed367 03/12/2008 04:02:02 ANS2026W Bad sectors were detected on the volume '\\ctldocuclus01\m$'. 03/12/2008 04:02:02 ANS1425E The image operation for volume \\ctldocuclus01\m$ cannot be retried because of a severe error. 03/12/2008 04:02:05 ANS1069E An error occurred while reading data from the device Did anyone run into this? Any ideas? Is there a way to perform a workaround if we really have bad sectors in this volume (Raid array on IBM FasTt900 storage). Many Thanks!
