These commands will do the trick:

   tdpsqlc set BUFFERS=3
   tdpsqlc set BUFFERSIZE=1024
   tdpsqlc set SQLBUFFERS=0
   tdpsqlc set SQLBUFFERSIZE=1024
   tdpsqlc set STRIPES=1

You can also set them through the DP/SQL GUI "Edit-->Configuration".
