Recently, our infrastructure group has been finishing upgrading our W2K3 servers from RTM to SP1 (I know, they are really behind). One thing I have noticed is that my TSM servers that have been upgraded to SP1 begin to experience a severely laggy/unresponsive OS after about a week. The TSM service/app runs fine and shows no symptoms of performance decrease, but when you try to login via remote desktop or even local console, it takes forever to login as well as to do anythng else on the desktop. I am running TSM 5.3.3.1, and these servers are all attached to ADIC/Quantum tape libraries via SCSI interfaces (older Scalar 1000s), and have 4 or more GB of memory (using /PAE switch on those with more than 4GB). All the TSM servers that have not been upgraded to SP1 do not experience this issue. Have any of you experienced this in the past?
