Hi All,

Does anyone know if a requirement has been submitted for a decent
cancel command?

I have a couple of issues. The first is when there is a script running
and for whatever reason it is necessary to stop it. Cancelling the
current process just allows the script to start the next one, and in a
lot of cases the next command can't be cancelled until a tape has been
mounted so the whole thing gets rather tedious.

The second issue is dumb TDPs. e.g. I have client with literally
hundreds of MSSQL databases - notes is another example. When these are
backing up, cancel sess only stops the current database, The only way I
have been able to stop the whole backup is to run a disable sess of the
server and wait for each database to fail its backup.

Does anyone have a better way of handling either issue?

Thanks

Steve
