Review your scheduler log, which almost always has the reason.

A common cause for RC=12 from a scheduled dsmc is a file system being
named on a Domain statement in dsm.opt, that file system does not
exist on the client - often caused by the client administrator having
removed or renamed a file system, but forgot to update dsm.opt or
restart the scheduler thereafter. See the ANS1512E message in http://
