Nothing on this problem makes any sense. Someone asked how I could get a filename with a / in it on a windows server, well there are none so why would the error says there are is beyond me?
As far as the timing for all of this? The dsmerror logs show these messages logged between 4 and 6:30 AM. The dsmsched log shows the backup completed at 21:53PM. The TSM server logs show nothing related to any activity for the node during the AM errorlog messages so I'm at a loss. To add to this I can unequivocally state nothing has changed on either the TSM server or the client as both belong to me and nobody else has access to either of them. I have seen this same phenomenon on all 5 of my clients and nothing connects there either as it relates to timing. As for the network, I have asked for those folks to look from their end. I can tell you that this is the same TSM server I'm having issues with many dropped sessions from clients that restart, with the old session still connected, which causes all scheduled sessions to be taken up. About a week ago backups also went from taking literally less than 10 minutes on a lot of servers to over 12 hours on some those same nodes and most others much longer than usual.
