David, Just checked TSM server accounting log, and you're right : required data is here ! I previously looked in storage agent's dsmaccnt ... However something still annoys me : how to chek if data has been sent LAN-free or not ? Should I rely on field 25, which traces "Client session type indicator character" (from Richard Sims web page), and consider that a value of 19 means that data has been sent LAN-free ? Thanks in advance !

What version of TSM? In older versions, the storageagents kept their own dsmaccnt log. In newer versions, that data is written in the server dsmaccnt. >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 3/16/2006 10:16:17 AM >>> Hi list, Wondering if someone here has found a way monitoring LAN free backups. I desperately try to find a way monitoring duration and quantity of data sent over SAN from our clients (mostly TDP agents), but it seems there is absolutely nothing in TSM for monitoring such backups : no entry in activity log (at least for TDP agents), nothing in dsmaccnt, nothing in summary, no tool in operational reporting ... How am I suposed to survey those transfers which are taking an increasing part of TSM data traffic ? Thanks for any hints ! Regards.
