IBM's 3592 holds 300gb native and compressed it can contain almost 1TB. STK 9840 holds about 20GB native and they figure compression at 4:1 so 80GB compressed. a 3490E holds about 2.5gb compressed. I heard that for every Terabyte that is backed up, 1000 tapes could be used. I was just wondering, if anybody knew something different.
