Hi Joni, TSM clients need to store pwds for each stanza defined - on each client, for each stanza, start a command line sessions for that servername "dsmc -servername=xxxxx" and then do a "q se" to get prompted for the id/pwd, which then gets stored locally.

I am receiving the error: ANS1503E Valid password not available for server 'TSMDEV'. The administrator for your system must run TSM and enter the password to store it locally. I have multiple TSM servers defined within the dsm.sys and dsm.opt files for a Solaris Client at the 5.2.2.5 level. I have looked through previous issues and the recommendation is to run a dsmc command from the client server when logged in as root. Will this clear up the password issue even though I want it directed to a different TSM server? It is defined on all of the TSM servers with the same password, so I'm a little confused as to why it is still communicating with the other servers and not this new TSM server that was just defined? Thanks in advance for your help! ******************************** Joni Moyer Highmark Storage Systems Work:(717)302-6603 Fax:(717)302-5974 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ********************************
