Is it possible to save an MVS dataset with the TSM Backup Client dsmc in OMVS (Open Edition UNIX)

Is it possible to start the TSM Client "dsmc" in Open Edition OMVS (UNIX) and in OMVS 
dsmc to backup an MVS dataset?
