Hi Chris, Are you talking about creating new TSM servers with your new splitted DB´s or is it One TSM server DB volumes? In first case, do an Export node. Second, define new db volumes and then delete the big one. TSM will move your db to the new volumes. Search the archives for instructions
Third, what was the argument when you were told that you needed to split your db? Do you have any performance problems? //Henrik Chris Hund <[EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] GHT.COM> cc: (bcc: Henrik Wahlstedt) Sent by: Subject: Splitting apart a Tivoli DB "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] RIST.EDU> 2004-10-14 17:43 Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" Good morning fellow admins, Has anyone ever had to break apart a Tivoli DB into smaller DB's? Possibly spreading those DB's out across different volume groups on different nodes? I'm told this is possible. I was also told that as your TSM DB approaches 30GB, you might want to think about breaking it apart. I'm looking for some instructions on how to do this (assuming it's possible). Any thoughts of suggestions would be great appreciated.
