TSM-server AIX 5.2, Server 5.1.7.3 TSM-client W2k, 5.2.2.0
The W2K-client is a file-server. Every night the client is inspecting 1,5 million objects, after starting the schedule it is inspecting the objects for about 5 hours and than it is doing the back-up in 2 hours, about 20 GB compressed (only 1500 objects).
We are thinking about setting up journaling. Now we have a question about performance.
Has the journaling impact on the performance of the client during the working day? What are the pros and cons you encountered using the journaling?
