Some WinNT 4.00/5.1.6.0 don't have blank IP addresses, some do.
One Linux86 2.4.19-27/5.1.5.0 shows 127.0.0.1 .
Some nodes have a TCP/IP Name, but no TCP/IP Address.
It's mysterious ...

Are you saying the TCP/IP adress reported by "q node" is unreliable? We found similar problems: --nodes that successfully backed up over the network have blank IP addresses --at least one node has another node's IP address
So, while we'd like to use this, it seems not to be working. Anybody else have similar problems?

With your version of server, just do a "q node blah f=d". The IP and more additional information is now available with this command.

Hi to all
Did it a way to get IP number of nodename instead of the name .... Once in the earlier version in the actlog we could see the IP , now just get Tcp/ip name. My Server version is 5.2.3.0 and clients 5.2.3.0
Maybe in a select command from another table ??????
