Hi Youssef ! 1) I know that 9i is only available is 64 bit. Did we install the TSM API 64 bit version ? TDP for Oracle 64 bit version ? After installing the 64-bit version, you should have .../client/oracle/bin64 and .../client/api/bin64 directories. You can also verify with : lslpp -l | grep tivoli . 2) Search for all instances of libobk.a and libobk64.a. The only link should be: $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libobk.a -> /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin64/libobk64.a . 3) You can test sbbtest with : . sbttest a -libname /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin64/libobk64.a . 4) The error we received indicates there are problems getting the correct sbt library loaded. As i mentionned before, look on your system for all the files starting with libobk. "If attempting to load the TDP for Oracle libobk.X library file, do not use the SBT_LIBRARY parm as this has been seen to cause a failure for the library to load. Oracle 9i will load the media management libraries (libobk.X) dynamically when a channel is allocated with the a type of 'SBT_TAPE". Ensure that the libobk.a exists in the $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory and that the $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory is first in the LIBPATH (or LD_LIBRARY_PATH)." . 8) Please make sure you have the license file for the tdp..i've seen in the past the same error...and it was caused by the missing license file.
