Upgraded my AIX TSM server to AIX 5.1 and TSM 5.2.1.3, about 3-weeks ago. I get an email from a user about the TSM server not responding, during the holidays.
I checked the server Activity Log and here is what I found for the time frame in question: 01/02/04 01:33:24 ANR0403I Session 12878 ended for node ASPEN.WEEKLY (WinNT). 01/02/04 02:16:41 ANR0984I Process 680 for SPACE RECLAMATION started in the BACKGROUND at 02:16:41. 01/02/04 02:16:41 ANR1040I Space reclamation started for volume 070415, storage pool COPYPOOL (process number 680). Note the complete absence of *ANYTHING* from 01:33:24 til 02:16:41 (45-minutes). The TSM server just completely "winked out" ? I have accounting turned on and checked the DSMACCNT.LOG file. Same gap ??? Any suggestions on figuring this out ?
