At which version??? Going back to v4.1.x there was "unwanted feature" of the client - when the hashed password contained \x00 somewhere, it was misinterpreted as ASCIIZ string end and the hash was resulting "wrong password" errors. Later the client was fixed and hash was interpreted as binary.
Regarding the IPX - are you sure the TSM client is not configured to use IPX to the TSM server? Or that Netware servers (especially NDS root master) are reachable over IP? There ought to be some tracks in the logs other than "it does not work after XXX", shedding some light *why* it doesn't. I had 3 identical machines - both hardware, and software - 2 machines would accept and keep the password encrypted... but the third wouldn't! I've never found a solution for this, and was forced to put the NetWare userid & password in the option file in clear text! ;o( Regards Flemming -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: Mark Hayden [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sendt: 22. september 2003 17:27 Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Emne: Remove IPX Has anyone ran into any problems with this: We have lots of NetWare Servers that TSM backs up. We have been removing IPX from these Servers a few at a time. Most of the Novell Servers are at remote sites. Most seem to work fine after the IPX has been removed. We have one up in our Chicago region, that does not seem to work after we remove IPX. It will ask for the NetWare password, and then give Login denied...We add IPX back and all is well...This seems to be the only Server to do this...Any idea's?
